The campsite at Garðskagi Point is a beautiful spot between the two lighthouses. It offers unrestricted view of the Atlantic Ocean in its ever changing moods and forms. The campsite is right on the coast and the area is considered one of he premier bird watching sites in Iceland. Whales can also often be seen just off the coast and there are very nice hiking trails along the two very different coastlines either side of Garðskagi Point.
The campsite is a low service campsite. We offer camping for tents, cars, campers and trailers. Twenty-four hour toilet facilities are available, hot and cold water, sink for washing utensils, waste disposal (dump) point and electricity for campers. There are no showers, washing machines or indoor facilities.
There is however, Röstin restaurant, great museum with various shows and the lighthouses for those who want to stay in close contact with nature and enjoy our shows, good food and the fantastic view.
